I start at the mouth of those canals because you can catch a few reds and then go bass fishing. My boat just isn't reliable enough for me to make that long of a haul. I'm busy as shite the next couple of weeks, but we may could work something out in the future.

That area is my favorite to fish by far.

We got on them on topwater one morning and it was unbelievable.

My dad tells me he and a friend caught probably 60+ in an hour from one little runout on pop r's

Feliciana- I am specks first, then reds and bass or I would guide you. Also to me penchant is best in march/april b/c you can kill the saccalait. Go in the fall and slaughter the trout then catch reds and bass. Fill up your freezer and still catch the bass.

My dad is a huge spec fisherman and I can never convince him to take me and catch reds, even after we have a limit of trout in the boat. We bass fish a lot also so doesnt make sense that he wouldnt want to catch some reds

I'll holler at you in a few weeks if you still want to go. I have a lot of urges to fish and not enough time to satisfy those urges.
