Cleaning an old sailboat

Someone just gave me an old Sunfish sailboat. It has been sitting outside for about 20 years, and hasn't been cleaned in that time. What is the best method for cleaning this thing? I have a small pressure washer, but I would think I should spray some sort of cleaner on it first to loosen the gunk.
Thanks in advance!

There will be a bunch of mildew on the boat. Soft scrub with bleach does a really good job of cleaning boats.
you will probably need to buff and wax the gelcoat. A buffing compound and a good wax will get you going.
