I never do. I figure if the active ingredient is the same, it should be alright.

Not always, but most of the time. A generic only has to be about 80% as effective as the name brand. Usually don't matter though.

My grandpa is epileptic and the doctor highly reccomends him getting the name brand shite, which he does. I figure as long as they don't tell me to get the name brand shite, I'm ok.

It generally don't matter so long as people keep with the same generic. I always write for the generics and just adjust as needed. I have a few people that insist on getting name brand. It's their money so I don't argue with them.
