I have 3 options for a can Am defender using their kit. Does it matter that much. It’s a year old. I know running it in the summer in 100 degree heat the heat index might be over 104.
0W -40 up to 104 degrees
5w- 40 up to 104 degrees
10W - 50. This one is rated for up to 122 degrees
0W -40 up to 104 degrees
5w- 40 up to 104 degrees
10W - 50. This one is rated for up to 122 degrees

No significant difference between the 0W-40 & 5W-40 in south LA. The 1st # is winter viscosity at 0 degrees. If those three options are what is recommended by Can Am. I would go with 10W-50 unless the 40 stuff is cheaper
