Just be sure to sharpen "away" from the saw, not towards it. I make a HUGE difference.

Watch your wood cuttings and when it starts to look like sawdust, file the rakers down. Or you can buy a tool that sharpens the tooth and files the raker to the correct height at the same time.

I used to use the stihl sharpener, but there’s a Mexican gentleman down the road that will sharpen them for $10 cash. I do that now

Absolutely! Best sharpener available in my opinion and easy to use.

I use my chainsaw a lot and have 6 chains for it, plus 4 for the pole saw. I definitely sharpen my own and rotate them regularly.

Takes a couple of hours to sharpen everything from time to time but then I am good to go for a while.
