Catfish stings

BIL and I went crawfishing yesterday. A small mudcat fell onto the table and when I went to grab him, he stuck me on the tip of my middle finger. No big deal, happens all the time.
Well this morning when I woke up, the lower inside of my palm was hurting as if it was bruised and was red in color. I'm just noticing a red streak starting to travel down my arm towards my elbow. Anyone know wtf is going on?
I've been stung by catfish thousands of times and this has never happened.

Probably some bacteria from the fish. Need to go get it checked out ASAP

Doctor now. Friend had staph that looked the same as u describe. Was up to his shoulder. Drs caught it just intime

Might be kind of hard to see but I've never seen this before. Probably going to go get it checked out.

You should head to ER. They will clean wound and give you antibiotics. Easy fix. But don't wait If you really have a red streak. Could honestly be deadly.

Yeah, infected. My dad slipped with his knife once while shucking oysters and jammed it into the inside of his wrist. ER scrubbed the wound with a pipe-cleaner-like rod and put him on some serious antibiotics.

The Mrs. told me to google the whole red streak thing but the web md site and those similar state side effects of a broken fingernail as brain hemorrhage and death so I figured I'd call on the OB.

I'm about the furthest thing from a doc, but I was raised to not frick around with catfish stings. Put bleach or peroxide on it ASAP.

There ain't much I can honestly say I'm afraid of but I'll be damned if the doctor just said 2 shots. I hate needles!

Just got a shot last week myself from a hot arse nurse......I squeezed the chair arm so hard I thought I was going to rip it off
