Has anyone canoed Whiskey Chitta recently? Thinking about going there for the first time this weekend. I've heard one complaint about the debris and fallen trees since the hurricanes.

Too much work & too crowded & at the Whiskey. Toro Bayou in Anacoco is way better as long as the water level is up. 9 sets of Class 1 rapids to enjoy along the 5 mile trip. There’s a canoe rental & shuttle service you can use & the trip ends at the rental place. No waiting for the bus to get back to your car like at the Whiskey.

Haven’t been in years. Seems like every young punk picks this place to prove his manhood or act like a complete moron.

Last time I went a few of them hassled my daughter and her friends.

Same here. Every visit had a few fights, a screaming arguing couple, and a few half dead alcohol poisoned teens. Not what I consider a good time.

Even saw one kid jump off the cliff and break both femurs. Medivaced out.

Maybe a weekday trip would be doable, but those weekend crowds get rowdy.

It's the only way to do shite like this.

Take the vacation day if you have it and go during the week not in summer.

I don't book anywhere on weekends if I can help it anymore.
