Canada duck/goose hunt help for next fall

Looking to take my dad on a good duck and goose hunt up north, and am looking for advice. I've been seeing lots of pics from the early fall hunts and need to get some info on guides and cost. I would prefer not to hunt out of layout blinds if possible. Any additional tips on what to bring , etc would be appreciated.

We went to Moose Country lodge out of Glaslyn, Saskatchewan. My FIL had back surgery 6 weeks prior and requested stand up blinds. There are rock pile islands in most of the fields, and we were able to hunt out of a big metal skid blind (backed up to the brush) every hunt. The guide hauls it in an enclosed trailer and it has wheels on one end. Brushed heavy with willows and you hunt out of boat seats.
Talked to a few other hunters in the airport and none did as good as we did. Young guides (goose calling contest winners) worked their arse off so we could hunt in comfort. They will pick you up and return you to the airport in Saskatoon, have your license and shells when you get there, and treat you to 3 to 5 day hunts with all lodging and meals included. $1800/person for 3 days, $2,500 for 5 days.
I can get you the number to the outfitter if you'd like. You and Hersch would have a blast.

Praries Edge In North battlefrod, Sask. Guides were awesome, hunting was great. Killed like 350 ducks, Honkers, and Cranes

Went with Wrightway Outfitters 3 weeks ago. Limits every hunt. 310 birds in 3 days. Food and lodging was included. Had an 82 year young guy with us, and we hunted sitting in willow blinds. Had a blast.

I'm not seeing prices on the Wrightway website. Is lodging included with their prices?

I looked too. He said in his post lodging was included, but on their website they have a list of recommended hotels.
I'm thinking of going next year too

The Prarie's Edge lodging looks really nice. $2600 with lodging included for 3 day hunt.

That's not bad, I went ahead and priced flights and it was around 500 round trip

Not bad. I'll be flying out of Memphis too.

Gotcha, you hunt the black River a lot right? Or am I confusing you with someone else

Some. Mostly the White close to Stuttgart

I might've been thinking of somebody else. This'll be my first season hunting only public land. Alittle anxious about not having a lease to fall back on. I mostly hunt during the week though so hopefully that gives me an advantage

Under FAQ he explains staying at the St. Walburg Inn. They have a small bar and restaurant attached to it. I believe it was around 3k per hunter, with tip and gun rental on top of that.

Is it a PIA to bring your own gun or just rent one of theirs?

I've read that packing a gun to hunt Canada can be a bit of a PIA. I would rent one of theirs as long as your comfortable shooting that model. If the price of gun rental is included in the package I think it would make planning easier.

Bringing a gun wasn't bad st all. More of a pain in the arse to bring birds back because if the extra forms you have to fill out. We went with dognduck out of Viking north of Edmonton,Alberta. Think it was around $2,000 each for 3 days. Limits every hunt for 6 guys. The outfitter is on a wait though. My buddy got us on after waiting 3 years and we rebooked.
