Cabelas in Gonzales has six Bushmasters .223 right now

For any of you maybe still wanting\needing an AR. Cabelas has the bushmaster with the red dot scope and two Mags for 749. they have six left.

Aren't they pretty much bottom barrel of the AR world or is that unfair hearsay?

Bushy use to be ok then they were bought out. The old Bushmaster guys set up shop which is now called Wyndam Weaponry.

Depends on who you ask. I dislike their barrels and BCGs. A lot.

I would take one over the $500 plastic jobs some people are building, and I think they can be good for a first AR to learn from. Wont argue that there are much better options, but I do believe you can do worse

My first AR was a Bushmaster. Nothing wrong with them, just clearly not top of the line.

FOr $850, you can nearly build a custom rifle way better.
