Why?
Not sure if serious.

I understand that you want an ice chest on legs so that you might not want to bend down and pull out a cold beer. I also understand you may want to have an ice chest that looks better than plain white sitting on the porch.

But is such an ice box really worth the time, money, space and materials? I just don't see the need, but to each his own.

That's why I said I would give him $15 for it.

We're men. If something is awesome, the answer to this is always yes.

Got a bunch of rough cedar stacked under cover, would prolly make a good cooler. Might try this.

The ice chest is worth $30 and the wood has nominal value. I'd bust it up, fill the ice chest with frosties and make a bonfire with the wood. Not a bad time for $30.

for $150, they could have given you a nicer drip bucket.

Or you could have gotten some sod

I'm going to make one of those this weekend. I have some old cypress but I'm going to pressure wash, stain, and seal it before I use it.

Post some pics when you're done. Looks like the weather will be too shitty here to cut grass after work so I'll probably run to Academy and Lowes for another ice chest and framing material to start the second one.

If it were not, they would not exist.

The ones I see in stores are metal lined. If I make one, I'm using that igloo or coleman(can't remember) that did so well in the cooler shoot out.
