Any bug enthusiasts, is there any way to tell what this is? Also if, say, this was found among some dates we were eating, is there any harm or risk associated?

ETA: someone who ate out of the tub of dates was pregnant, so only real answers appreciated

Probably larvae of a fruit eating beetle. Certainly nothing that would hurt anybody...the unborn included. Imported dates?

That is the kind that lays eggs in your ears while you sleep at night and the babies chew through your eardrum and feast on your brain.
