No it's not my boat but I was at the launch when they towed the boat in. A lot of damage to it but from what I understood the son was ok. Hope the father get well

Son is ok. Dad still not doing all that great. He is starting to get some motor function back since they drained the fluid from his brain.

I got pics of the boat at the landing. It looked to be a pretty bad accident.

did you see another Basscat there as well. A father and his teen son? I'm thinking they were fishing together and his friend in the other Basscat helped get him out of the water and is the one who called 911

Not that I am aware of. There was a silver basscat there but it seem to be a guy and his girlfriend.

Update.
He was placed on life support a couple days ago.A breathing machine and feeding tube were placed in him. He also has high fever and the doctors are trying to figure out why.
Lot of hurting people right now. Please keep his family in your thoughts.
Days in Watson has been helping the family out a ton with food and helping out with the family staying in New Orleans to be with him.
Awesome people at Days Cajun meats.
God bless.

He's at the bottom of this picture. An avid outdoorsman like all of us.

I tell ya. It Ain't looking good. If not for my faith I would believe he's not going to make it.
I'm hoping for a miracle tbh.
Thank all of you for your prayers. And I can't stress enough how much Days has done for his family. Even if he can't win this battle, it's good to know people like them are making it possible for his family to be there with him.
I know they have a fund set up for the family for their expenses staying in NO.
That can't be cheap.
I've donated twice already and plan to do so again.

Thank each and every one of you.

Yikes. My dad pulled a drowning man from the lake last month after the guy drowning had hit a stump and been flung out. Lucky he was on his porch taking a break from work. Be safe out there.

Prayers are with your friend and family...

there is a place in Atlanta they spoke of for my brother in law if here able to show some progress... it's called Sheppard Center LINK...I would think being conscious and having some motor skill, he would be a candidate...

God Bless
