Not only is that a miss...there's no way that bullet even made it to the deer in a lethal way after hitting the water. Not even probably cut the skin.

And I think that the hunter is at the end of the bank that the deer swam to.

Both boats were in dangerous positions.

Is hunter orange required in Alabama? Is that land public land around the park? Lot of lakes the lake shore is actually owned by the depth of the interior up to a certain point.

I’d have been on the phone to the game warden as soon as I settled down and checked my pants.

May have even called 911. I’d be hugely pissed.

I’d think that guy would be in some serious trouble considering two boats were right there.

My guess is he was straight up the ridge and took a crap shot at the bucks neck, that’s why it hit behind it.

Shooting toward water like that is dangerous with a rifle, very easy to deflect. We certainly can’t see what the shoreline vegetation looks like, but that deer was still half way in the water. Just an idiotic shot even without people fishing there.
