Is there a golden year for production?

I have a 1991 and it has almost never lost its edge despite being dented on the handle and beat up on a solo Yukon river excusion. That's all I had and beat the crap out of it to do everything in camp as a tool.

But the blade never failed me.

Still is here today. Sharp as ever. The handle has dents, but the blade is still perfect.

I'm glad I bought a Buck 110 before 2000.

There's no modern flip-blade that could have answered the call in the dark in the middle of nowhere.

Buck 110 is the original multi-purpose tool...it's heaftyness was a lifesaver.

I’m more impressed you are able to keep up with a pocket knife since 1991. I can’t make 2 weeks.

Not really.

440C or 420HC Buck knives are different only in the academic sense. Not a single person can objectively tell the difference over 1 or 2 points of blade hardness.

My 110 and a 501.

I got a 110 in 1984. Gave it to my son when he graduated high school in 2016. Bought myself a new one. Those knives are bulletproof.

I've had my Buck Ranger since 1992. It's my go to woods pocket knife. Leather sheath on belt. It's strong, heavy for chopping, and sharp.
