Heading to Toledo this weekend to catch some fish. Gunna try and catch some bass on Friday. We may try to catch some bream too. Has anyone been catching any yet or is it still to early?

I don't know if they're spawning yet, but I have caught several at Toledo already this year on bass baits and white perch jigs.

Where I fish they are on the beds. If you can find a bed, you should be set. Every fish we caught Saturday came from the same spot.

I'd been hearing they're tearing em up down there. How's the bream fishing in the crackahead area? Getting going or what? I think my dad and them are going there Thursday, I might try to take the gf Saturday.

All this rain has everything fricked up everyweekend up here in north la.
Add in me getting married at the end of this month, combined with other hobbies.

My fishing is suffering severely!

We've been tearing them up at our lease. A lot of them are what I would consider rather large. most are large enough to filet, 3/4lb to a 1lb.

They're just getting on the beds here in south MS. We put 46 in the boat yesterday evening (35 keepers) and every one was full of eggs. Ran out of crickets or we could have kept bringing them in, I don't think you'll have to worry about it being too early.

Those few up front were over a lb each, but for every one of those we hooked three or four small ones. They're all bitin.

Ripped the bream's arse yesterday on Lake D'Arbonne. We boater close to 80 keepers in an hour and ran out of crickets. We would have stayed on them with more crickets, but set out yo-yos instead.

On another note, anyone ever used a Townsend Fish Skinner for skinning bream? I used one this morning cleaning our catch and will never scale one with a spoon or knife again, ever.

Lake Verret today. 62 bream, 4 catfish and a bass. We fished until we ran out of corks, we were fishing in cypress knees and broke off a bunch.
