I would start by limiting your shots. Maybe to just 10 a practice session. I normally only shoot 3 rounds of 5. Do this 3 times in a week and see the results. The deer was a one time shot and might just be in your head. The deer might have moved or flinched and it hit wrong. You can’t control that.
If you’re doing it in all 3 sessions I would start with your front hand. Is it too tight or too lose. Mine is very relaxed but stiff on the heel. Next check anchor points. Should be just barely touching the sting.
I would also consider having a professional tune to the bow. It could just be a rest problem but its hard to see without paper.
