Not trying to hijack your thread but your picture reminds me of the gun that I got from my Grandfather after he died. It’s a 38 revolver and based on the serial number looks to be from 1980. I have all of the original paper work and box that it came in.

Any idea what caused those Browning O/U’s to be ruined ? Unless it was fire damage or flooding, my “wild arse guess” is those Superposed shotguns were possibly salt wood guns that date from 1966-1972. The date somewhat coincides with the date of your S&W and owner having $$$.

I don’t. If I had to guess I’d say they flooded but it would only be a guess.

Son and I took it to the range this afternoon. I’m now convinced it had never been shot.
Love it even more now. Sun was a bit of a bad angle so I was having a bit of a hard time seeing where it was shooting but it did extremely well.
