I have pretty much every knife sharpener around the house, lansky, diamond stones, spyderco system, various beaver teeth sharpeners and i keep going back to the work sharp.

Yeah I use a work sharp as well. I put very little pressure on the blades so I don’t take off much metal. I bought a nice strop to really finish up a razer sharp edge

another vote for Ken Onion WorkSharp. I bought mine a couple months ago and finally got around to trying it last week. Holy crap does that put a nice edge on FAST. As a learning experience I started with a couple really crap blades that were dull as a butter knife. I got them shaving arm hair in under 5 minutes. I was a big fan of my Lansky for years but this does every bit as good a job in a fraction of the time.

i was coming here to say whetstone.
