I know we frick around in threads like this, but in all seriousness my mailbox is 3 miles or so from my house. The guy who lives there has goats.

He did have something with four legs snagging one of his goats and dragging it over his fence.

I don't know what it was, I won't say it was a big cat, I didn't see it. But I can't think of another predator.

I don't think anyone is denying the possible existence of a very marginal population of typically tawny colored cougars in the state.

What people have trouble with is the people that claim to see them all the time, hear them every night screaming like a woman, etc. All I know is that I'm 52 and I hunt in Winn and Jackson parishes. I have had trail cameras in the woods for over two decades now and I have never captured one in a photo.

Also, people always seem to say they see/have photos of black panthers and yet they never seem to post their proof.
