I want to talk to one of the game wardens out there to make sure I am in compliance with all the NWR rules, but is there anything specific in addition to normal rules I need to make sure I dont forget?
Everything you should need is in the Big Branch regs pamphlet

Can I field dress the deer out there?

Can I carry my pistol for hog protection in BBM?

I gave up hunting public except OOS. However if yall have a boat I would go hunt PR or Bogue Chitto. A lot more and bigger deer and you can get away from people easier.
Also dont use screw in anything to the trees, even your bow holder in BB.

BBM rules brochure specifically mentions no rifle or ammo larger than .17 or .22 caliber. I would think that means you could carry a pistol since the rules specified restriction on rifles and rifle ammo,
I know you can’t on WMA’s though unless its .22 pistol or unless gun season is open
