Best Yamaha Dealers in SE Louisiana?
Posted by Icansee4miles on 1/22/21 at 6:38 am00
With hunting season winding down, I need to get serious about getting my boat repowered. Still debating Suzuki versus Yamaha (200 HP in-line 4). Found a couple of Suzuki dealers I’d be happy working with, just want to see how much extra the Yamaha will run me.

If you are looking for the most knowledgable salesman for Yamaha....i cannot help you. However, the Boat Stuff in Slidell has (or used to have) one of if not the best Yamaha mechanic in the country. I think his name is Eric....do not take that as gospel though..
Dealers/shops around the country will call him, or send videos to him to get his opinion when they cannot figure something out. Sharp cat.

Alot of people around my hood (we live on the water) with newer Yamahas are happy with Eric at Cypress Cove
I have older Yammy 2 strokes that I wrench on myself. I've been to the place not long ago for a fuel sender and they were helpful.

For a good price and service Breaux and Daigle marine. They are always busy but always seem to be able to make an while you wait appointment for people who do not live down there. It think part of their great pricing is they spend ZERO dollars on an online presence.

Bent Marine - Metairie, LA
Degates Marine - Houma, LA
These are the only two I have used thus far.

Southern outdoor and marine in Thibodaux will be hard to beat as far as price goes but don’t expect great service:(

Hanko's in Berwick. I bought a new 200HP Suzuki last year and I am very satisfied with service and the motor.
