Use string and four 4x4s or 2x4 nail in tee pattern and put in the ground.
If ground is not level and it’s over grown just have a survey crew come and mark the boundaries at the high and low points and you put posts in and pull the lines.
If it was me I would just figure it out and not higher anyone, could cost me later if I’m wrong or the boundaries are not what I think they were

There are various levels of accuracy. If you’re building a structure near the line, get a survey. But if you just need to make a general demarcation, OnX is damn good and I use it all the time in my profession, and know many others that do as well.

But we’re talking about putting a fence on a property line.
And using OnX doesn’t change the accuracy of your phone’s GPS. OnX and my phones GPS is not an accurate enough tool to set a fence on a property line for me. But I digress.

OnX is just a compilation of local GIS tax parcel maps. Some are good. Some are terrible. These can range from being very close (within a foot), to several HUNDRED feet off...OnX (or any GIS map) should absolutely never be used for relating anything to a boundary line. There are disclaimers everywhere that it isnt intended to be used a boundary gospel and they can't be held liable for using it as such.
