Gamakatsu or Mustad usually, I usually go the next size up on the back and 95% of the time it will be red in color. Especially when fishing a CB in shad type colors.

But I see trokar has a line of treble hooks as well, I may look into those since those are my hook of choice for my soft plastics.

Just bougt some since half of mine only have front or back hooks now. I use the same ones as above, but I get my from Academy so I get more for less.

Will buy some soon to use for worms...You like them?

I don't like wide gap hooks...I like round bend hooks 3/0(Gamakatsu) very good hooksets.
I use that on 90% of all plastics.

Only use 2/0 when the 3/0 is too big.

I'll pay the extra for better hooks everyday.

I spent $300 on fishing stuff last week and I really didn't need anything

It's the same Mustad hooks. They just come in a little box with 25 instead of 11.

I put mustad triple grips. I remember reading good reviews on them. Never looked into it much though

Yes I really like them. They are very sharp and don't require a hard hook set to get really good penetration which I like when c-rigging or fishing soft plastics in deep water where sometimes its hard to get a solid hook set due to the amount of line you have out

Owner makes a damn good hook for plastics - the cutting point really makes a difference.

I use 3/0 ewg offset shank gammies for worms. A thin wire hook makes a difference IMO.

Trokar costs too much for how many I go through and I remember them having problems with tips breaking when they first came out. I think they fixed it by now but I'm not gonna chance it when gammies work just fine and are cheaper

Fished them for 2 years and swore by them until I started using the 3/0 Gamakatsu (Round Bend)black hook.

Now I'm hooked...no pun intended

I used the gammies for years, but they started rusting on me really quickly. Not sure why. So I switch and haven't had a problem.

To each his own. Gammy makes a good hook if they don't rust.

Thin wire has to much flex for my taste.

I buy the 25 pack and keep them in the pack..Never had one rust straight from the pack.

I fish a lot so I usually lose the hook or just change it.

I bass fish a good bit and have never changed the treble hooks on my crankbaits. I'd like to, but there is always something else more pressing.

I only change them when I lose one, or have one broke to just 1 hook.

I felt the same way until I got my crankbait rod. I started fishing cranks more and could see where the hooks wouldn't get past the barb sometimes. I didn't want to take any chances so I started changing them - haven't lost a fish on a crankbait since.
