Yeah, I know, but the wife is a yoga instructor and wilderness with only a few country folk isn't great for her business. And I'm a technical illustrator - not exactly a common job in the mountains of Idaho.

You may be surprised. Lots of towns/cities in Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington where both of those could be in demand.

Go to a place like Pagosa Springs Co. Still a small town but would find good opportunities there.

Definitely Washington and Oregon, and probably the Boise area.

I'd really just like to dump my job and do a whole lifestyle switch, but, I probably need to be realistic and ease in.

Can't live with a flat landscape. Gotta have mountains and 4 seasons, cooler summers.

Whenever I am done with school, sir. Nothing better.

Me being in LE and my wife a nurse, I feel we can find work fairly easy. We were both born and raised here and ready for a change on scenery. Can't move for 10 years but we are trying to plan ahead. Find somewhere we like, maybe some property and start paying on it so when we make the move it will be financially easier.
Montana is #1 but hate to have a boat that I've finally paid off and unable to use it Between the big game hunting and buying a few good horses and roping steers I'm sure I could forget about bass fishing.

Yeah, neither of you would have trouble finding work, in any of the areas out West. I can promise you that you could find suitable fishing to replace bass. There will always be things you miss about a former home when you move but sometimes you feel it, and you just have to make the move.
