Pet Eds makes one for 50.

It runs in AAA batteries but is not waterproof.

Would do my own research before dropping any money. Cheap collars batteries run out fast. But at the same time, you do not need a dogtra or tri-tronics collar to stop a housepet from acting up. 100 bucks would be a good buy. Cheaper than that, id worry about quality and it being worth it.

I use a Tri Tronics G3 Flyway but thats gonna be overkill for what you need. I'm not a fan of Sport Dog collars although their customer service was top notch. I tried 2 SD collars but neither held up. Their customer service actually refunded my money so to them I give a good job to.

To the poster who said he tried it on his dog and he pissed everywhere..... Quit trying to weld the collar to the dog's neck asshat. Any time you go to try a new e-collar out test it on your own arm. I made it to level 3 of like 10 levels on my TriTronics before it hurt pretty good. So I've never turned it up over 2 on my Chessie. Heck it stays on 1 with him and most of the time he only gets beeped and doesn't get nicked. Use good common sense and that'll go a long way

I found good deals on quality refurb collars at Collarclinic.com. I ended up getting my Tri Tronics on ebay for around $300 plus it came with a $75 mail-in rebate. So I'm $225 or so into a dang good collar that I know I can depend on year after year and in all conditions

You never want a collar that won't provide the desired level of shock at the time you desire. It is very bad for training when you press the button and it doesn't shock when you need it too. I would look used before I bought poor quality, I made that mistake with my first collar purchase...

I agree Wick. Thats why I'm not a fan of Sport Dog collars. That isn't the place to be nickel and diming in my opinon

I have a sport dog 1225. Had it for two years and no problems thus far. Sunk the remote in the marsh numerous times and everything still works fine. I keep it on 1 just so she feels it. Collar conditioning is crucial though.

Eta: also an em collar shouldn't be used to train. It should be used to reinforce. I've seen dogs totally shut down over that.
