Yes. The Beretta A400 recoil is just too good to pass up if you’re spending SBE money. Just my opinion.

In sub freezing temps the best gun oil is auto transmission fluid. Get a qt of Dextron II and oil that action. Grandad was a self taught gunsmith and it's the only oil he ever used.

I bought the II first year it came out. Buy it. Condition doesnt matter long as the barrel is straight. My only two gripes: low brass/dram loads will not cycle reliably. takes some learning on swing path if you grew up shooting A5 or BPS.

In with all the other SBE2 posts.

And to those having issues with cycling: get a bolt rehab kit for you SBE. Replaces springs, pin, and extractor. $99.

I shoot two 15+ year old SBE’s. Bolt rehab kit every 5 years.

And to those saying they have never had a glitch…you are not using it the right way ;)

I've enjoyed by SBEII for duck hunting, no issues. Now when I used it turkey hunting...I about threw that fricker in a pond a couple of years ago. I had it click on me on 3 different toms over 2 seasons. I know what the issue is, and I quit using it as a turkey gun
