Hey OB. Just and fyi. Not sure how many check but I changed all my wheel bearings out on this ATV and found the rear bearings they shipped me had basically zero grease in them when I pulled the seals to inspect. The front we're fine but we're a different manufacturer.

I put more in them and installed them. I know you don't want so much it pushed the seal out but these were damn near dry. It's not something I usually check for but my neighbor who does motorcycle repair on the side told me to look. Said he always checks.

Anyone else do this?

Get a bearing greaser and fill with marine grease.

Yes just have to be careful not to damage the seal. You’d be surprised how many sealed bearings you get that barley have any grease in them. What kit was dry, all balls?

It doesnt take much grease at all. I've never pulled the seal off a brand new bearing.

Common with Chinese bearings.bought new spindle for my mower from propower and the bearings last 10 minutes.

If you spin the bearing you can feel the grease

Came from thebigbearingwharehouse.com

The back bearing were definitely a different brand than the front. Yes I picked up some marine grease for the parts but used a bearing grease for inside the bearings. I emailed them and told them and am awaiting their reply.

When he said "marine grease", he was referring to marine BEARING grease. Not sure if it's necessary, but it is good grease if you run through a lot of water, I suppose.

I picked up the marine bearing grease. I just wasn't sure I wanted to use it.

I used the Chevron synthetic we use at work. It lasts in a heavily caustic environment. So I trust it.

I did use marine frese on all the surfaces and bolts and pins though.
