Are my hydro drives going out?

Was mowing the lawn for about an hour, mower ran perfect. I stopped the mower, idled it down, and ran inside to get something. Maybe 2 minutes.
Come back out and began mowing again, and the left gear is WEAK. like 50% speed vs the right side.
I put the mower up for now. Surely this is not a tracking issue? Figured my hydro us going out on that side, but why would it run fine until I idle it down?.

Have you checked fluid levels?

Check your linkage and see if something is loose or out of adjustment.
See if the neutral/release lever isn’t partially engaged. Its the lever you pull out from the back to completely disengage the transmission like if you need to push it or tow it. It’s possible to get a stick suck in them.
