I just bought my first compound bow. My miss right now at 20 yards is left. I was told that I'm torqueing my bow with the left hand so I opened my left hand and I'm still having a consistent left miss. What can I do about this and what are some good videos to watch or teachers I can find on youtube to watch?

While in full draw, look up at the cam and ensure the string comes directly straight off the center of the cam. This will check for torquing. M
But first, make sure the bow is perfectly paper tuned.

Go watch the Archery Beginner youtube series from Nock On archery.

Consistency is the basis of archery. If you are consistently hitting left and grouping those misses then adjust your pins. Voila, now you are hitting the bullseye. Keep practicing and you’ll get there.

Move your sight left baw. Follow the arrow L to R. Or rest right. I line up the string with centerline of riser and align the arrow rest there too. Everything centered, then adjust sight to get it right.

Do you have a level on your site? Make sure you're dead level before squeezing the trigger bc that can throw in the left and rights. Also pay close attention to where the grip is in your hand at full draw. Instead of keeping your hand open, rest your fingers on the front of the grip just enough that the bow doesn't torque left or right when you execute the shot.

Thanks for this, this feels comfortable and was told it was wrong but now I believe not.
