I bought a new buffer tube. Still 6 position but it is about 0.5 inch shorter than the old one. Will that affect the cycling with the same spring? Thanks

The only difference in specific buffer tubes is whether it's a rifle or carbine length tube. But I don't think yours is a rifle tube because they don't have 6 positions. I'm sure it'll run fine.

Mostly true, but it may be the difference between mil spec vs. commercial. Where are you measuring the tube?

Its a mil spect. Its the overall length that is different. The old and new are both flat back

Yea but the length difference of these is not all that significant. I'm confused about his situation too...
