If you're looking for a range gun, and not a CC gun, I'd go bigger. But I carry a 3.3" which at the time was my only pistol, and I was very eager to get a longer barrel, a bigger grip(I have pretty big hands), better trigger, and more weight. But I can't compare the models you're talking about, only similar sizes.

I was still super curious about that trigger. Does anyone have any experience with that trigger or know what I'm talking about?
AFAIK, the fire control unit in all of the P320 models is mostly identical with the exception of the trigger and the slide catch lever. The P320 Legion has the skeletonized flat trigger, which reduces trigger pull and gives you a better purchase lower down on the trigger getting you more leverage vs. the standard curved trigger that you're going to interact with higher up and closer to the pivot. Legion FCU on the top, standard on the bottom. You can clearly see the differences between the triggers and the slide catch levers. The lower picture is also shown with the takedown lever inserted while the top picture does not show it, though they should be the same.
If you've ever wondered what the government considers a Sig P320, it's the metal frame that holds the FCU components. You can see in both of these picture where a box was placed to hide the weapon's serial number. That little metal frame is the only thing you need a FFL to transfer. There is a window cut in the side of the grips so you can see the S/N when the FCU is inserted into a grip module.

heck out what Grayguns does to them. Those straight triggers are cool AF.
I had a grayguns in my 229 legion. They do great work. A buddy has the standard x5 with grayguns trigger. It’s very similar to my x5 legion with the stock trigger. A little smoother take up.
Another buddy went with the keres in the standard x5 and it’s by far the best I’ve felt so far in an x5. There is a lot of adjustment And it’s only $90.00. Hard to beat for the money.
