Owner of a full blooded smooth coat JRT. I'll just say that a JRT is not necessarily a problem with small kids. I've got three little girls all under the age of 10. He's fantastic with them. What he's not good with is other people (outside of my family) and other dogs. He's laid into all of my parents' dogs to the point where they are terrified of him. Some of them outweigh him by 100 lbs.

They tend to be very high energy and mean - or at least ours is.

this dog has been with 2 other small dogs for a while. never a problem. Its the other 2 dogs, not this one that's the yappers. This one is quiet, loves to run outside and chase shite and act like a jrt.

dog is in slidell. Never been used for hunting but chases all kinds of crap when he's let out in yard.
