Anyone try the new MOULTRIE MOBILE DELTA CELL TRAIL CAM?

I used to love the regular M Series trail cams Moultrie made over a decade and a half. They were good quality.
In 2017 I started using cell cams and almost every Moultrie cell cam I’ve had, I ended up having issues with. The XA6000 are the only ones that worked consistently for me.
The last 2 years I’ve used Spartans and Cuddyback cell cams almost exclusively and have had good luck with them.
Just curious if anyone on the board has purchased and used the new Moultrie Deltas. It’d be nice if Moultrie returned to making dependable products again.

Picked up the XV6000 MoultrieMobile yesterday, was very easy to set up. Putting it out tomorrow. I’ll report back in a few days!

The XA/V6000 & 6000i’s were much better than the 7000 series IMO.
Like i stated in original post, the only Moultrie cell cams that didn’t give me problems were the 6000s.
On me and my brothers property in Tensas, we run Spartans exclusively. They are the best Cellular trail cam IMO but they’re expensive.
On my property in SELA north of Clinton near MS border I use mostly Cuddebacks and I still have 2 XA6000i’s i run. 3 years ago I had bought 4 6000s and only 1 didn’t function right and had to be returned. They’ve held up well. I bought 4 7000 series the following year and 3 out of the 4 ended being returned within a month.
I’ll continue using Spartans at our place in Tensas but at my other place I’d prefer to not spend as much $ on cameras. The cuddebacks have been good but they’re a little pricey as well so when it’s time to replace those I’ll be looking for trail cams a little cheaper than the other 2 brands. It sure would be nice if Moultrie got their shite together and hopefully this new Moultrie Delta trail cam performs well because they’re inexpensive. Moultrie’s data plans are a little high but I like their app format.

If you are looking for a decent cheap camera , i would look at tactacam. Someone was telling me about the muddy cellular cams also, but i have no experience with it. I have had spypoints. They were once a decent camera but after they updated their app last year, the camera software just went to shite and it has been patch after patch after that.
However, the more expensive cameras like Spartan and Ridgetec pay for themselves with plans if you run multiple cameras since the cameras can share data plans. Also they seem to last way longer on a set of batteries , but this can be a non issue if you run solar.

The Tactacam Reveal X’s are incredible but no one has them. They sell for $119-139 when vendors have them in stock. Walmart online is the only place besides Amazon or eBay I’ve seen that has some that they are selling through a third party but they are $80-100 more expensive @ $218. Amazon and eBay has them for +$300.
Later this year they should be getting caught up supplying their distributors and when they do I’m going to buy a half dozen of them. My buddy has a couple and they are far and away the best cellular trail cam under $200 and it’s not even close. Hell, their better than many cameras that are $300+. I look for trying them.
I’m just partial to my Spartans. I have a ton of confidence in them. I’ve yet to buy a Ridgetec but my brother picked up a couple the other day and I’m looking forward to seeing how good they are and how they compare to Spartans. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Ridgetecs.

I picked up a refurbished MoultrieMobile for $60 the other day. It’s been great so far. Easy to set up and good pics.

Yea it is crazy how fast the tactacams keep going out of stock. I have 1 old one and one of the new X and they are pretty impressive.
Spartan has a more polished app, and a better brand recognition. The owner from ridgetec is actually the same person who wrote all of spartan’s software data. Both are great cameras and couldn’t go wrong either way. Only reason i chose Ridgetec was because i have multiple hunting areas that use different cellular services. And i wanted to be able to switch between att and Verizon if needed.

I have been running 2 XA7000 and 1 XV7000 for 2 years now year round. No issues. Use energizer lithium and batteries last for months.

Spartans are the most expensive camera since their data plans and “premium credits” to use the app are so expensive. Even the new Reconyx cell camera is cheaper over the life of the camera.
