I own a 26 Glacier Bay center console, on my second set of engines...
Those saying a GB isn't a great riding boat either
a. haven't been on one
b. have been on one a handful of times
c. have been on one driven by someone who doesn't know how to drive a cat
Read up on cats by doing a search on thehulltruth days of reading on that site.
Top speed might be 41, real cruise is about 27 (3800 rpm)...I run mine around 32-35 (4500 rpm) all day from 1 foot seas to 4 foot seas. Anyone that says a GB rides poorly in 2-3 foot seas is full of crap, the faster you go the better the ride.
I will admit they are really slow.

a 26 twin vee does not ride better than a 26 glacier bay
I beg to differ. GB is a displacement hull, TV is a planing hull. One rides on air, the other tries to cut thru the water.
I've ran 26' and 29' TVs for many years, they have problems I will agree. Cracks in transom are common. Sneezing problem and will take one over the bow when trolling in moderate seas. But the ride is way better.

Brother had 24 world cat. The floor smacks down on anything over 2 ft and constant misting over the front. They try to claim that cats dont pound, but when the floor smacks down it sure feels the same. Never could get us to the feeling of tipping over while running either. Ill atick with a mono

Again displacement hull vs planing hull. If you can't tell the difference between a cat hull vs mono, you have no time offshore in cat.

Never been in the bigger cats. But i can say the 24 world cat rides no better than my dads 25 mako. Ive been ifshire in the cat pbly about 15-20 times. And feel beat up afterwards everytime
