The switch is hooked straight to the battery when I got it the wire was burnt up. I replaced the wire and the switch and it started working again but it blew the switch again. Do I need to add a fuse or relay between the switch and battery?

you need to wire in a relay or you will always have problems

use big wire on 30 and 87.. 87 goes to power up accessory

this way the switch isnt carrying the load

I work on john deere tractors and will have to say this thing is kicking my arse Its hard because I don't know everything that had been done to it (mods or upgrades). Have you ever worked on one with 4 wheel steer? If so what was the wiring like?

that is sweet.

we've considered doing it to a buddys rzr.

ive put turbos on a couple of atvs and sxs's
and lifted and snorkled atleast 100 different ones.

you can google the diagrams to ad relays to both right and left power wires

you got a deal too..

depends on what the rear steer cost..

yoy cant spend more than a couple grand on cam, exaust, carb, higher compression piston, bigger valves, cluth kit ect. tires and wheels probably 500

I dont believw it has most of that , because it has stock exhaust.

if youve got 4400 in it thats a good deal

Switches are not intended to take loads, relays are as greasemonkey said. Wire in a relay with thisl wire, make sure its a good sealed waterproof relay and you should be good. Look for marine grade relay.

Holy shite it really is 4 wheel steer! I'd imagine that was a pretty pricy deal. Damn cool.

Do you put the relay between the battery and the switch or after the switch in which case I would need 2 right? One for each wire going to the hydraulic pump. Electrical isn't my thing I will have say it is cool with the rear steer but if you are going fast and hit it you are going to turn over

Small power wire from battery to switch.Small power wire from switch to relay. This is the functionality section for the relay(what opens and closes the contact inside the relay.

On the contact side you will need large wire ran from the battery (fused) to the relay and from the other side of the contact side of the relay you run another large wire to the pump.

You have 2 pumps? If so,you'll need to wire them both in this way.
