Johnson's Beach
I waded the bay side of this last year several mornings throwing all artificial.
The water was so clear you could see pods of 15"-20" redfish swimming around but I couldn't get them to hit anything.

Been doing that for the last ten years. Any general areas you know about that I might be missing?
na, sounds like you got it figured out.
Are y'all going tomorrow, or next Friday?

Heading over from Texas tomorrow to Mandeville and arriving GS mid day Saturday now. Damn, just checked forecast and it looks killer for the first part of the week. Light winds and a good amount of S and SE. Just need to dodge some storms it seems.

As you saw, the water's been way too clean for that. Maybe throw with a 10 to 12lb flourocarbaon leader.
Was out there today right after the storms. Water was a little more stained and I lost about a 18 inch trout.
***Oh, you said last year. Well it's been gin clear these last few days as well.

I want to say the blue angels aren't practicing next week, but the week after that is the beach show week, and you'll have some good opportunities to see them.

Yeah, I believe I read they aren't doing regular practices the next two weeks but starting on the 10th they are doing full show rehearsals with the civilian acts thru the actual show on Sat 13th. Day drinking on sand island with my arse in the water is the plan. I've seen them there at least two dozen times and it never gets old.
