I'm going on a trip in late May to Dularge. We are fishing Saturday, Sunday, but I want to take my friend shrimping with a cast net and crabbing, maybe oyster if they're on the ground bed. I actually find it more fun bc there's constant action compared to maybe a couple hours with out any bites in fishing.
Where can I do this around Dularge whether by boat or car?
I go all the time to Rockefeller Wildlife Park and catch pounds of shrimp and dozens of crabs everytime, but it usually involves a pier/dock/area where one can walk. Anytime I've been to Dularge and cross Lake De Cade, it's just marsh. There's no where for me to post up and walk around to do these activities. Any suggestion helps. Maybe coordinates or directions. Thanks.

You can’t just go around picking up oysters unless it’s on state grounds and those grounds are open to the general public. There is also the “pollution line” set by HHS that moves periodically, no harvest above the line. If you see an oyster growing on a piling then no one would be upset if you collect it. You can crab in any of the public waterways although there are crab traps in all waters that are fishing 24/7 that you have to compete against. Point au chene wma is where a lot of people go to crab as no commercial crab traps are allowed. Throwing a cast net for shrimp, good luck. That seems to be a hit or miss thing in my experience, lot more misses than hits for me!
