On their power pole? I accidently stepped on the tubing on the back deck and split it open. PP sells replacing tubing for $51. I searched online and have found 5/16 tubing that should handle the pressure that’s only $1.89/ foot.

Did you talk to PowerPole? They sent me the tubing for free. The tubing is high pressure, regular tubing wont work. I tried it and it split after a few trips.

No I haven't called them. Will do first thing tomorrow.
Thanks. Yeah I don't want that to split and have slippery fluid all over the place. I do use that environmentally friendly fluid they sell.

From what I've read, it is my understanding that PP has gone from HP tubing (1200 psi rating) to HP hose(1750 psi rating) as their standard fare. I do not know that as a fact, just what I've read. If you have the option, the hose is probably a better choice, more flexible, less likelihood of splitting.

If you live in south louisiana you may be able to get one of the hydraulic place to make up a hose for you with the appropriate fittings, not sure it would save you much money if any. If I have a $1000 Power Pole, I'm likely buying the factory replacement if it's $100 or less but I understand wanting to look around to see what's out there.

The fittings are already on PP. You just have to unscrew them from the hold hose and attach to new line.

Tubing may have that option but I cannot recall seeing any hydraulic hoses (not PP, just in general) that do not have ends already made up on them.

Talking to power pro is definitely your best option right now, I will say. Good luck man,

In a pinch to get back on the water a place that makes hydrolic hoses can match the fittings but depending on how long it is you probably wont save much money over the power pole replacement..

If this site had PM's you would have already been contacted by PP for your address. Ship yard fubard my hoses on install and i posted pics on another site asking for help. PP rep PM'd me asking for address and two days later my package arrived with a thank you note for purchasing their product. The rep also called shipyard to tell them how to install hose correctly.
