All the drunks on the water, all the speed boats and PWC's driving reckless- and I get stopped for a courtesy inspection- discover my boat registration is expired(moved addresses and renewal did not get forwarded)

I realize I am responsible the question is now how much Livingston parish courthouse is going to fine me for forgetting to send the state $35 bucks on time

Sucks, but that colored sticker next to your boat numbers should have been a sign. No way that wasn't going to be noticed by green jeans down here...

when i worked for them you always had 30 days to send em a copy of the paperwork for renewal and they would void the ticket, but that was in 2000

Florida Highway Patrol nailed me a few weeks ago for a tail light on my trailer. Cost me $115.

Like I said I do not mind paying it- I support WLF and would pay more for registration to help them

Just wanting to know if anyone has had to pay one.
and how much it was going to cost me.

My other gripe is on the diversion there are boat wrecks, people who get injured and die and all because of a small group of boaters who drive too fast and drink and drive.

ALl you have to do is stop every boat pulling out of Blind River Bar or Prop stop and you are going to get a lot of DUI's Very few have designated drivers

Seems like priorities are wrong tome

That'd be profiling, right? but I agree.

I have boated on those waters since I was a kid when there were not houses and no boats.

It is the busiest water way in the state and the accidents are almost always alcohol related.

Strict enforcement on drinking and driving on the water would send a strong message

I would pay higher registration fees if the money went to more enforcement of DUI on the water

Well, so far you're late on the normal cost, so lets just start from there.
They would have still got you even if they were targeting DUI's.
