Alter. And paranoid.

Yeah, since I was comparing my experience in La to your experience in La, your argument doesn't make much sense.

Trying to compare hunting in La and AK is apples and oranges. The only thing in AK that's even close to the difficulty of hunting whitetails in La is Dall Sheep and you can still spot them from a couple miles away.

Most of the difficulty of hunting in AK has to do with packing out the meat. The hunting isn't that hard if it's flat land.

Most of my deer hunting experience came from hunting near Benton, and Logansport. La.

Why would you be worried if you aren't an alter?

BTW: I am not "telling" anyone. I think it's pertty obvious who you are. Things will play out on their own.

Here is a repost. I don't really feel the need to vindicate myself.

quote:

When we hunted in Louisiana, back in the late 80's and early 90's we didn't use food plots, hell..didn't know what they were....and often times didn't use deer stands.

I have my own opinions which will probably be drowned out. But I also feel the hunting experience depends on the one doing the hunting, so if people are fine with these cameras and food plots, then it is their own business. Up here, someone like that would be prosecuted and laughed out of the state. But to each his own.

Not really. The hunting methods have changed dramatically. To each his own.

I still hunt and appreciate hunting as primitively as I can.
I enjoy being out there in th woods more than taking the animals

Yeah I find that unlikely. Or you didn't actually hunt much. Because we were putting in food plots in the late seventies and it was in every Outdoor Life / Hunting magazine you could find. It wasn't new.

It was mostly just winter wheat and rye grass but it wasn't uncommon.

So I guess I'm saying you are either lying or making up your level of hunting experience in order to have an internet argument. Like I said before... more sophisticated troll. Nothing more.

Times change. The big hullabuloo back in the day was dogs vs no dogs. Texas hunters would come over using dogs to run deer and it would irritate the locals. The outdoor experience depends on the user.

Yeah, I rarely hunt, but do a lot of tracking. I am probably moving out to the bush here in the next 8-10 years though and will have subsistence rights.

For nothing. He's making it up. I've got family in Alaska. While they don't bother making food plots, because there's no reason to. They have plenty of food and you don't have to draw them into an open area to see them, they most definitely do use game cameras.

Just a troll. Best to ignore.

No way in hell. Where do they live? Them folks be stupid.

Have been in Alaska since 1994 and never once have I hunted with game cams, or knew anyone who did.. Trappers do use them, however. How much land do these folks own?
