Then don't comment.

Exactly. That's like going to the going to the poli board and saying "I don't like politics and never will".
Who cares?

And to retort your stupid comment.. Alot of people prefer venison to beef because it is much leaner and healthier. And some people hunt on vast properties surrounded by other propertied that bait. If you don't supplement what nature provides, you could lose your herd.
And it's also good for the deer and I'm sure they'd rather eat well before they were harvested anyway.

The cameras that deer hunters use doesn't bother me, its the montage of food/bait that they throw out at deer. Why don't you just go to a farm and harvest a angus bull. Way more meat. Its like killing cows.

Yea that what I hear all the time from other deer hunters. I wish McDonalds had deer burgers because they are healthier. WTF. I wonder how many hunters would hunt with out supplying food for the herd. When I watch hunting shows and the guy in the stand is looking down on a dozen or so deer, then picks one out and shoots it, oh most of the time hardly over 100 yds, then turns around and high fives the camera man. Now thats what I call hunting.

Yeah well other than the family land I hunt, I frequent the tenses refuge which is 80k acres. No baiting, no gun, no cameras. And I kill several deer a year. But Im not going to troll over to the outdoor board as a non hunter and knock people for doing it. But hey, some people have nothing better to do.

I think "ol" Vernon needs to start hunting. Not as easy as he thinks.

I guess they should show the entire hunting process on TV. Hours scouting out the right area, putting up a stand, planting food plants, etc. I guess they should also show the days where they don't go out there and kill anything. They could end the show with "aw shucks, see you next week folks." That would bring in the viewers.

I don't know what the hell you're talking about with the Mcdonalds comment.

Vern realized he had gotten in over his head, and backed out at just the right time.

When we hunted in Louisiana, back in the late 80's and early 90's we didn't use food plots, hell..didn't know what they were....and often times didn't use deer stands.

I have my own opinions which will probably be drowned out. But I also feel the hunting experience depends on the one doing the hunting, so if people are fine with these cameras and food plots, then it is their own business. Up here, someone like that would be prosecuted and laughed out of the state. But to each his own.

Because Alaskan hunters are superior to LA hunters.

I didn't say that. I guess you didn't read my post. I am not judging anyone who is comfortable with what they are doing. Did you post under nico blues at one time? Just curious.

Hunting has changed a hell of a lot since the days I hunted N. Lousiana. I am not in a position to judge the current state of hunting there.

Cameras don't give you much on trophy deer. They can tell you whats in the area and what time they frequent the area, but I can't think of a time that I actually sealed the deal on one I patterened while using the camera. They do keep me sitting on certain stands longer than others, based on what I've seen on them, but thats about it. It really makes some of the summer months fun, checking them, though. To each their own, I guess.

You just always seem to have a condescending way of posting about Louisiana compared to Alaska, but you do it in a nice enough way nobody ever says anything.
I hunt in the delta where the deer have plenty to eat on, but people hunting in swampy areas may want to supplement to get healthier deer.
