When i lived in houma we would hit up the spill way almost every weekend. Don't know if they still allow it but it was pretty fun.

I used to like going riding behind Central High. Big field with creek and pits and some trails.

I see people riding in the spillway all of the time. I just rode through there on the main road in my truck last weekend and it was pretty muddy. I think they have all sorts of jumps on the NE side, and an overgrown truck trail that goes all of the way to the lake on the NW side. Do not try and go in any of the pits. They have a very steep drop-off, and are about 30ft deep. You will 100% lose your bike.
Look at Google or Bing maps to get an actual map of the high ground

Do the cops still give people shite for riding 4 wheelers along the roads? I remember when that guy died I couldn't even ride mine for the next year or more without getting told something. That was back when I was in high school though

living and working down here. they always have campers there 2-3 days straight on random days during the week (vacation or shift workers i guess). never been but looks like a great time for quads and dirtbikes. when it rains a good but there are always dumbasses on the north side in stock trucks and suvs that bury themselves next to the pond
