Going to scout some on Thursday and Friday to hunt over the next several weeks. I grew up fishing there so I know the lake well. Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated!

I assume you are you on the Texas side?
It can have it's moments, especially with divers. I hunted with some guys who had a blind between 1999-2001(2 seasons) on it. Since then I've hunted maybe 5 or 6 times.
I'd much rather hunt Toledo or the Red River.

I don't hunt Caddo, but I fish it a lot. Now that There's not much grass, I really only see ducks in two areas.
1. Between K Row and the river around Sand Island, North towards the Basin. Mostly divers.
2. Clinton Lake. Better ducks, but there's a good chance you'll have a confrontation with a local that thinks they own a spot. Also Salvania is probably real bad up there right now.

really? Is Caddo not worth it? Whereabouts on either? I've never been to Toledo though I've heard it's better, I just know Caddo like the back of my hand in some places.

Much appreciated! I was thinking about heading over to goat island first over by clinton lake cause I know a lot of the bayous up in there. Been reading about the locals, but apparently the TPW is cutting down on grandfathered hunting spots? But I'm more worried about water moccasins than locals with this weather; gators are predictable, but I hate snakes with a fury.

My buddies were hunting out of Uncertain, TX last year. They said it was packed with groups of hunters, and I they never saw much.
