Aluminum boats wear out due to metal fatigue . Patch all the cracks and after 3-4 uses it will leak again. Air boats are the worst, I had one that looked pretty good ran fast, but after a couple trips it was back to the weld shop again. Once they start cracking, ????

They do indeed. In my experience all boats leak, many times from the get go but in time no matter what they are made of. Flex seal will, however, keep the water out for some period of time if someone is simply trying to get a little more time out of a hull...

You are reading my mind.

It was leaking badly and I got it welded up. It still leaks but less. I am going to use some epoxy on the welded/cracked area and make sure bilge is working well and call it a day.
