Welding it would take maybe an hour start to finish, and looks a lot nicer in the end. Wouldn't be expensive at all either

Templet's welding doesn't do aluminum. He doesn't have the equipment for it. Call Bayou Metal Works-Mike Lambert on Stringer Bridge rd in St. amant.

Thanks chuck. Had already passed by there and he told me he doesn't do it.
Will call metal works in just a few.

And yes hammertime you are correct. At templets we played with a few pieces of metal brackets to bolt on and he said welding would look a lot better.

And it would be stronger. No sharp edges like on a plate that supports a bracket. It is literally melted in to the metal is it getting welded to, forming one piece of done correctly.
