Assuming that is where the starter mounts? Wonder how he ripped that off?
If the rest of the mower is in good shape it would be worth an engine swap if that is not fixable.

yup, the starter mount. i'm curious how it broke as well.

If the engine is seized it can tear stuff up like that.

I actually have a 22 hp Kawasaki for an xmark that runs great. Looking to pair it with a good mower and put at the camp lol
