So in other words, you don't have your priorities straight?

Know the area real good. I hope ya'll don't have to run the Rigolets. Had a very very bad trip thru there many years ago. 3 of use were in a 17' Boston Whaler running and had a bad arse cold front passing thru along with one hell of a tide going the other way. All at once, the motor when down. There was a good 3' chop and before we knew what was what, the boat was flipped. We stayed in the water for 3 hours climbing on top of the boat when we could. After daybreak, some dude just happen to be walking out on his pier and saw us. Which saved us. We loss everything in the boat along with a dog.
Be extra careful out there with cold fronts.

damn man thats rough. We go from St. Catherine Marina and it is about a 10-15 min boat ride. We don't have to run the Rigolets. We have to cross Saw mill pass and run along side the marsh until we get to the point of the marsh and go left. I could see how it could get rough out there quick, and don't think I would even try it if it was to bad.

Idk what I would do if I lost my dog like that. I might start making his arse wear a life jacket. As dumb as those things look on them, wouldn't take much for him to end up in the water out there.

Like I said, watch out for cold fronts, shite can get real fast. Our boat flipped so fast, we didn't have time to put PFD's on. Way back in the day, most people didn't wear them and I was one of those people. We learn this the hard way. Now, boat does not leave the dock till everybody has a PFD on.
