2,4-D is for broadleaf plants, grass should be fine.

We have this fancy schmancy new HGTV board.

But your grass will be ok.

I wouldn't do it if you or your neighbors have tomatoes planted.

As always, mind the wind direction/ speed and temp range for the 2,4-D (ambient temp). Shouldn’t be an issue for St.Aug if you don’t go all Jihad on it.

I have used a weed and feed recently. I have some wild violet growing that i want to wipe out and read 2,4-D was the way to go. Not the whole yard just the spot where the BS is growing.

Taking a guess... the violet is growing in shady spots where the grass is already struggling due to shade?

No. It is kind of in a Lower area that probably has had more moisture lately. I thought it was probably dollar weed but google said dollar weed doesn’t have the purple blossom.

Almost lost The whole back yard a few years ago when if didn’t rain for months. I have it all back with exception of a few spots - so I was nervous about trying something and going backwards.

It will be fine for st. Aug. Just follow the directions closely because if you mix it too strong it will hurt it.
