Nobody's perfect. Some of his other videos have some good info in them though.

Watched it and can't argue with anything he said. The shirt is hideous though.

How is it irresponsible? It's his opinion. And if all you had were Glocks, you'd be much better off than if all you had were 1911's.

The guy is going from a combat shooting perspective. Glocks go boom EVERY TIME YOU PULL THE TRIGGER. Right out the box. 1911's do not.

If I was only doing competition shooting then hell yeah I'd prefer a 1911 because you can make them so accurate, but I'm not worried about having to put down a raving silhouette trying to take my shite the rest of the time and for what a competition built 1911 costs, I could put glocks all over the place.

Opinions can be irresponsible.

It isn't an either or.

Hence my certain point of view. He did not qualify the statement.

1911's do not.
Again, this has nothing to do with 1911s.

Yes opinions can be irresponsible. I fail to see how his in this case is though. Irresponsible implies negative consequences. What would those be? You get tired faster because you never drop your arms to clear a malfunction?

My opinion is, outside of M&P, that design is unreasonably dangerous per se.

Glock legs galore. Would be great for the health care industry though.

How often do you have problems with your weapons...I mean good lord the guy makes it sound like every other round in a 1911 is a malfunction.

I shot 150 rounds thru my 1911 2 weeks ago and never had a problem. granted I wasn't in an intense 2 day training class but really are problems that frequent.

Very rarely do I have any issues with any of my firearms reguardless of brand or price...now maybe if I shot 5000 rounds a week I would notice but for the normal person shooting on a regular basis who has that much trouble out of there weapons like this guy is claiming.

Glock must send him a nice check every month for the help.

What was it? Fewer 1911s that run properly than Glocks that don't?

I love the design. It is ready to go when you unholster it. There are no bells and whistles. Fits my hand and line of sight. Accurate to 25 yds.

Given, I don't:
Quick Draw in the mirror...
Brandish it about the house, auto, camp, etc...

I think with the proper holster, a Glock is a safe firearm. I have carried a 17 or 22 since 1988 with no accidents or discharges. I like 1911s a whole lot, they just don't seem to be for me. I envy people that shoot and like 1911s, but I just can't ever get one that feels right. I am sure a Wilson Combat would fit rather well, but I am not spending that kind of scratch on a pistola.

It's only dangerous if you pull the trigger.

Safeties are for people who are too lazy for safe gun handling practices. And multiple safeties are for the functionally retarded.

YEAH I WENT THERE

Can't and wouldn't argue with that. People have had that feeling for them for over a hundred years now. When done well, they are art.

He lost a lot of credibility with me when I saw one of his videos in which he sets up a cameraman down range to film his shooting drills. That absolutely flies in the face of just about every rule of firearm safety.

ETA: Found it
