Yeah, you're probably right. A supersonic pellet rifle is my go to weapon of choice when the SHTF.

I have a Savage with the Accu-trigger and the gun is way more accurate that I could think about being. It's a lot of fun to shoot as well.

As downshift stated, the magazine sticks out of the bottom and I hate it but I wouldn't sell it.

I should sell one of my deer rifles and buy one these since I rarely deer hunt.

I would have a blast for sure since i love to shoot my .22.

Hard to go wrong w/ the Savage. I have a Savage bolt action in 17 Mach 2 and it is scarey accurate. A friend has a Marlin bolt action in 17 HMR and it's also a fine gun. The Marlin should be even better now as it also comes w/ an adjustable trigger like the Accu-Trigger. If you don't like how the Savage magazine sticks out from the stock and pokes you in the back, just carry the gun differently. I don't have this problem w/ mine as I've always carried my guns using a sling w/ the barrel pointing down and the bottom of the rifle (the area where the magazine is located) pointing forward. You can actually get into a "hasty sling" shooting position quicker w/ this carry method.
